WebCRT technology has been around much longer than LCD, but it's still used and still provides excellent images. An electron gun, or 'cathode' creates CRT images by beaming electrons toward an anode. However, instead of striking the anode, these electrons are deflected toward the monitor's fluorescent screen to construct the image.
